The Original Golden Spike
The Original Golden Spike from the First Transcontinental Railroad across the United States of America. Photo taken at the Cantor Arts Center Stanford University. A very poignant artifact. I’d like to think that this spike honors the men who preformed the manual labor. The thousands of men who actually built the railroad.
