First Post Lockdown Restaurant Meal

The lockdown isn’t really over but it’s less restrictive.  Palo Alto restaurants are now serving patrons but for outdoor dining only.  California Avenue has been closed to automobile traffic to make way for the al fresco experience.

I passed by Cafe Brioche and on a whim I had my first restaurant meal since the shelter in place order was issued.   A steak medium rare with mashed potatoes and vegetables.  I was simply wonderful.

Once the COVID-19 pandemic passes I wonder how long it will take before dining out becomes just an everyday experience again as opposed to a special treat.  Going forward I hope that I’ll appreciate it more having spent these last few months doing without.
